“We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world.” – Marcel Proust

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Clayton has traveled internationally since 2011, after he made his first travel overseas to Egypt to gaze upon one of the ancient wonders of the world: the Great Pyramid of Giza. Visiting Egypt was an item at the top of his “bucket list,” and after having returned home from his experience, he simply desired to see the world –  a healthy addiction that would take him to places around the world on grand adventures.

Clayton began this blog to document some of his more memorable travel experiences in hopes that it would inspire others with an inkling of wanderlust to step out of their comfort zones and see, or “wander,” the world.

The markers listed above represent countries Clayton has had the opportunity to visit.

Clayton enjoys traveling to places off the beaten path that provide a unique experience one would not receive by participating in sensationalized and luxurious travel, where as a traveler, one is generally exposed to predefined travel arrangements catered to the masses.  In such cases, Clayton feels one does not take away from the experience what a country truly has to offer with regard to its people, culture, and way of life.

Outside of travel, Clayton enjoys spending time with his close friends and family, tasting new and exotic cuisine, and catching the occasional new release at the nearest theatre.

¡Buen camino!
